Hello friends!

This is Nora Lamar, and as you may already know, I am a Carolina Wren. I met my first human friend, Eleanor, about seven years ago. I found an open window into her kitchen and decided to see what was smelling so good. She came in just as I was checking out a delicious blueberry pie! Rather than becoming upset, she invited me to stay a while, and I accepted! You can imagine her shock when she realized that I understood her, for I had been living on her back porch for some time (as well as many other places prior) and learned the basics of the English language. We have been friends ever since!

She has taught me how to read and write English (I have just begun reading your wonderful writer named William Shakespeare). We are also learning to draw and paint together, so every illustration in this website was created by either me or Eleanor!

After many late night discussions over steaming cups of tea, we have decided to share our art (and much more) with others!

So, we hope you will come back and visit our website as I tell my stories, chat about life, and share my wee paintings and sketches with you!
