Welcome to Nora Lamar’s Notebook: The Musings of a Wren
Thank you for visiting my online notebook! Here, I plan to share the ancient tales of my family as well as wee thoughts about other aspects of life from a wren’s point of view.
First, I love stories, so as I make my way through a “to-be-read” stack that is certainly not “wee,” I will share my observations with you! Now, I am no professor, so my musings will be humble; nevertheless, I do hope you will find a cozy nook and join me while I explore works of literature, music, and poetry.
In addition to discussing books, I may also comment on other subjects about everyday life. I pray that these wee commentaries may provide a moment of peace, joy, reflection, and encouragement to you. I realize it is often difficult to carve out a quiet moment, so I plan to keep that in mind as I write. (Wrens can go on a bit, as you might know if you’ve ever had the pleasure of a wren living outside your window).
Thank you for being here! Please visit again soon!

The Story of My Family

Greetings!
You may be wondering how I came to understand the speech of my best human friend, Eleanor! Well, I was living on her back porch, and wrens are decidedly curious, perhaps even a little nosy. I decided to explore her kitchen and took advantage of an open window. Eleanor walked in as I was inspecting a lovely blueberry pie cooling on the table. We locked eyes.
