Bela the Whale Psalm 42:7 Glass Tumbler

$25.00

Hello there!
Nora Lamar here! Have you ever wondered about the "great fish" that swallowed Jonah? Well, please allow me to introduce you to Bela the Sperm Whale and his best mate Ezra, the Great White Pelican!
He told me his side of the story from the book of Jonah, and I just laughed and laughed! He says he did NOT want to swallow Jonah, as he does NOT eat humans, so he ran from God just like Jonah tried to.
But then he just couldn't rest because he knew he must obey the Creator, so he fnally did as he was told. Bela, in spite of his great size, is a very docile and gentle creature. And he loves his Creator and longs to please Him. Not to mention that his best mate, Ezra the Pelican, wouldn't leave him alone about it!

Well, Bela swallowed Jonah, grimacing and gagging the whole time! He could not stop burping for three whole days! And he couldn’t eat anything because of severe indigestion! He tells me he was quite miserable, perhaps almost as miserable as "the poor fella in my stomach." Finally, he was released from his assignment and was told to take Jonah to shore and leave him there. (I'm trying to be polite-but he basically "barfed" Jonah up). But sperm whales do regergitate undigestible material regularly, so this was normal procedure for Bela.
Remarkable, Jonah turned and thanked him, battered up as he was from three days inside a whale stomach! I suppose he knew the Creator had sent Bela on a mission to get Jonah to shore, so he could complete his own assignment preaching to the Ninevites. Bela was so pleased that they repented and believed in the Creator. He was grateful to play a role in God's plans.

I painted a picture of Bela and Ezra on one of their many trips through the Mediterranean Sea. Bela and Ezra love Psalm 42! Especially the part about the waves and waterspouts!

Have a beautiful day, friends!
