Beornulf the Badger Ephesians 6:17 "Warrior in Training" Canvas Print in Army Green
Hello, Friend
You may have already read my thoughts about the immeasurable value of raising kiddos! If not, please feel free to continue reading!
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Though, as you may already know, I am but a wee wren, and one of my dearest friends is a human being! So, I have learned a great deal about the Creator’s love for Mankind. He loves humans so much, He became one and felt all the feelings of being a man. He endured all the sadness and pain that comes with such an existence.
You are probably thinking, “what has this to do with baby onesies, Nora Lamar?” Well, I am so glad you asked. Human children are infinitely valuable to the Creator. Why, the Son of God came into this world as a wee bairn, as my Scottish friend, Alisdair, often says! He could have just as well come as a grown-up, if He was pleased to do so. But He chose to be a helpless child, vulverable and fully dependent upon his parents. And a mad king out to get Him as well! Think about that!
Later, He would correct his disciples when they tried to block little children from Him. He said that the faith of a child is the very kind of faith grown-ups must embrace!
Your children are a gift from Him, the King of the Universe, the Ancient of Days! You have been given the task of training your wee ones to know God and to love his ways.
This IS the most important job you will ever have.
However, please do not think I am lecturing my patient reader. I am a mere bird, a wren, and wrens do love to chatter on. Forgive me, when I do, though I mean well. I am aware that you are already quite aware of the task at hand. What I really mean to do is encourage you by emphasizing the importance of child-rearing. (I’ve noticed that in these modern times, humans seem to think it is a lowly occupation. Indeed, it is not).
The Father is with you as you go through these years of rigorous training. You will have some hard days, perhaps even feel like you’re failing. But don’t give up! Keep going “further up and further in” as Aslan once said! You are on a quest, you AND your young warriors! TRUST your Captain.
If you have a young warrior in training, you may like to remind him or her with this lovely little print of my good friend, Beornulf the Badger! His favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 6:17, especially the part about the sword of the Spirit.
This canvas print is hand-stretched over wood stretcher bars and is 1.25 inches thick, so it can be displayed very handsomely without a frame. See item description for more info!
We hope it blesses you and your young warrior!
Nora Lamar
