Though, as you may already know, I am but a wee wren, one of my dearest friends is a human being! So, I have learned a great deal about the Creator’s love for Mankind. He loves humans so much, He became one and felt all the feelings of being a man. He endured all the sadness and pain that comes with such an existence.
You are probably thinking, “what has this to do with toddler t-shirts, Nora Lamar?” Well, I am so glad you asked. Human children are infinitely valuable to the Creator. Why, the Son of God came into this world as a wee bairn, as my Scottish friend, Alistair, often says! He could have just as well come as a grown-up, if He was pleased to do so. But He chose to be a helpless child first, vulverable and fully dependent upon his parents. And a mad king out to get Him as well! Think about that.
Later, He would correct his disciples when they tried to block little children from Him. He said that the faith of a child is the very kind of faith grown-ups must embrace!
Your children are a gift from Him, the King of the Universe, the Ancient of Days! You have been given the task of training your wee ones to know God and to love his ways.
This IS the most important job you will ever have.
However, please do not think I am lecturing my patient reader. I am a mere bird, a wren, and wren do love to chatter on. Forgive me, when I do, though I mean well. I am aware that you are already quite aware of the task at hand. What I really mean to do is encourage you by emphasizing the importance of child-rearing. (I’ve noticed that in these modern times, humans seem to think it is a lowly occupation. Indeed, it is not).
The Father is with you as you go through these years of rigorous training. You will have some hard days, perhaps even feel like you’re failing. But don’t give up! Keep going “further up and further in” as Aslan once said! You are on a quest, you AND your young warriors! TRUST your Captain.

Care: Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners. Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life. Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration. Do not dry clean.
