Meet Beatrice the Brachiosaurus!
Beatrice is very fond of quoting scripture, and her favorites change from time to time; however, Isaiah 55 comes up quite a lot in conversation. She will readily admit that is is a very tall creature, even for a Brachiosaurus! She is a full 52 feet tall! The only other dinosaur she knows that is taller is called a Sauroposeidon, which can reach nearly 60 feet!
But in spite of their soaring height, which enables them to reach tasty treats at the tops of trees (forgive the illiteration!), Beatrice will quickly tell you that nothing is as high as the Word of the Lord! He created her to grow this massive height, and still, she is tiny compared to the Creator's merest thought.
She says this is a comfort to her. She is thankful that He is in control, in spite of the chaos of the world. She knows that in the end, He will make ALL things NEW, according to Romans 8:18-25, stating that "the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God" (Romans 8:21).
When life seems difficult to understand, there is One who knows everything...and that one day everything will change...and be as it should have been before evil entered the world.
