Tilian’s favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 12:11. He says it really encourages him when times get tough or when hard work is needed. I have often told him he embraces the training like an athlete! Do you know someone that fits that description?
Tilian’s name is Old English and actually means one who strives and is assoiated with hard labor, which suits him well. Tilian strives to do what is right and good. This is why I painted him on one of his many long hikes (He is quite the traveler and does much of it on foot).
Sometimes we need to discipline ourselves, and sometimes the Master Creator does the disciplining, so be encouraged and think of Tilian if that helps! As his favorite verse states, discipline is not always enjoyable. However, sometimes it can be bracing, especially once you have experienced a lot of it, like Tilian. Embrace the training and you will reap a beautiful and bountiful harvest.
