Seasons Greetings, Friend!
I know it’s not quote Christmas yet, but Eleanor and I are already in the Christmas spirit!
We were cleaning her parents’ basement out over the summer and found Christmas wrapping paper that appears to be from the 1960’s! Her grandmother most likely used it, and the scraps that were left are a testament to her frugality, being of that generation that endured the Great Depression as well as World War II.
In honor of her grandmother, who Eleanor tells me was so very kind, desired to see the good in everyone, and loved our Lord, we decided to design this mug with the scraps of that old wrapping paper she saved.
The images are bright, cheery, and fun! However, we cannot deny that we were moved to design this sweet little mug out of nostalgia and love for loved ones who have gone before us. Perhaps a mug seems like a silly thing with which to honor someone’s memory, but Eleanor says her grandmother loved the colors in this wrapping paper. She also loved serving baked goodies (and coffee) to loved ones and enjoying laughter and mirth. But she was also willing to listen, comfort and show love when times were hard. She was wise, frugal, forgiving, kind, and beautiful, wanting to treat others as her Lord treated her.
We hope you have people like this sweet, godly grandmother in your life.

Be filled with joy and mirth (I love the word mirth. I think of ancient banquet halls, candlelight, merriment, and celebration. A celebration of the King!)
