If you haven’t met Beornulf, please allow me the pleasure of introducing him!
As you may surmise, Beornulf is a warrior. (His name means warrior or battle-wolf in Old English). He hales from England—of the Anglo-Saxon times! You may be wondering how he came to be in this picture and onmodern-day bags and t-shirts. Well, stick around, and you will find out more! There is a wee tale to be told!
His favorite Bible verse is from Ephesians 6:17, which probably doesn’t surprise you! Beornulf is a skilled swordsman, so he understands the power of the language St. Paul uses to describe the holy words that bring forth our very existence and make us whole.
Beornulf’s best mate is Tilian the Chipmunk, an Anglo-Saxon, well, monk. ;-) They both know my grandfather, which is how I know them. Yes, I know there’s a lot of explaining to do. Be patient, dear reader, and I will satisfy your curiosity.
In the meantime, if you or your wee one would like a lovely little bag featuring Beornulf the Badger as a reminder to use your “sword of the Spirit,” this one a great for when you need something compact to carry a few important items, say if you’re attending a festival or walking around a beautiful historic town and don’t want a big bag weighing you down. My friend Eleanor uses this bag when she is taking a motorcycle ride with her husband. She says it perfect for such occasions.
