This is the perfect t-shirt for the young hobbits in your life! It comes in seven delightfully cheerful hobbitish colors to choose from! I have personally met some hobbits, and they are as wonderfully warm and welcoming (a bit of accidental illiteration there, hehe) as Tolkien describes them. There’s not much in this world that’s more comforting that sitting down in a hobbit hole with a mug of tea and homemade bread thickly spread with butter and a friendly hobbit face smiling at you!

My friend, Ddraig (pronounced a bit like “Thryg” with a rolled r) allowed me to paint a picture of him for illustration on a different creation featuring a C.S. Lewis quote. He asked if he could also be featured on the Hobbit items, and I said, “of course!” Ddraig is a huge fan of Professor Tolkien and finds his tales of old Middle-Earth hauntingly beautiful.
Ddraig is one of the few good dragons left in the world, but he understands that, sadly, his kind have worked hard to give dragons an evil reputation, such as the ones featured in Tolkien’s writings. He desired to be a part of my project because he believes in redemption. He wants to encourage all to seek the good path. His favorite bible verse is 2 Peter 3:9, which states, “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
When I was painting this picture of Ddraig, was inspired by the dragon paintings of J.R.R. Tolkien, one of which you can find on the cover of his translation of Beowulf.

Care: Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners. Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life. Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration. Do not dry clean.
